Minefield
Clear the board without hitting a mine. Flag the danger, finish fast, score big. A free minesweeper game.
About Minefield
Minefield is a version of the classic minesweeper puzzle. A grid of hidden cells hides a number of mines, and you must uncover every safe cell without touching one.
Numbers on the revealed cells tell you how many mines touch them, which lets you work out where the danger is. Your first click is always safe, so you never lose on the opening move.
How to play
- Tap or click a cell to reveal it. The first click is always safe.
- Read the numbers: each one shows how many of the eight surrounding cells contain a mine.
- Flag suspected mines with a right-click, a long press or by turning on Flag mode.
- Tap a revealed number whose flags match its count to uncover all of its other neighbours at once.
- Clear every safe cell to win.
Scoring
You earn 10 points for every safe cell you reveal, and clearing the whole board adds a 500-point win bonus plus a bonus for each second under the par time (90 seconds on easy, 180 on medium and 360 on hard).
The total is multiplied by the difficulty: 1x on easy, 1.5x on medium and 2.5x on hard. If you hit a mine, you keep the points for the cells you had already revealed.
